Game did not register - objective did not count

I loaded into my 20th game (out of 20 needed) with a trophy titans player for the winners circle 1 objective, and got through to my opponent. My opponents team showed up on the screen, so the game was all but kicked off. As soon as the kick off screen was to pop up, a message shown up saying “You lost connection to your opponent. We’ll check the match report to see who won and who lost”. With the objective only requiring games played, surely this is enough to count towards it?
