Gold Starting XI pack

I have completed the puzzle SBC "See you at the Bernabeu: Spain '82." And when I opened the gold starting XI pack, I was surprised to get the regular David Alaba while he has a Joga Bonito version active in the packs.

I don't know if it is an error or not, but it did not make sense to pack the regular version of a player while he has another version in the store packs.

    Hey everyone!

    Thanks for all your reports. We've had this double checked by our team and can confirm it's intended that the rewards of the “Gold Starting XI Pack” from the “See you at the Bernabeu: Spain '82” SBC only contains Gold players.

    But we definitely understand the confusion here, and we've passed on the feedback that the description should be made clearer. For any potentially similar future packs, we want to ensure the description explicitly mentions that only gold players can drop.

    I understand this must be disappointing to hear. There are many other packs that feature promo players, and I wish you the best of luck in packing the ones you’re aiming for!

    This cant be the solution, all packs say gold rare players!! But you can pack an promo cards in them plus Icons, icons are not gold rare players lol

    Hi EA Team,

     

    I opened an Untradeable Gold Starting XI Pack from the

    "See you at the Bernabeu: Spain '82" SBC on December 8, 2025 – 8:19 PM (screenshot attached).

     

    I packed Frenkie de Jong, but the game granted me the 87 Gold Base version, even though the only active version at that exact time was the 89 Joga Bonita special card.

     

    This is not a missing reward — it’s a Wrong Item Granted issue.

     

    Please check my server logs for the timestamp above.

    This specific SBC only features Gold rewards, not special cards, so you packed the correct card. It sucks as it isn’t very specific before you do the SBC, can totally understand people’s annoyance

    No, that explanation is incorrect. While the pack may drop a regular promo card, it should never grant a Gold version of a player when a promo version already exists in the pack pool.

    Gold players should not appear at all as long as there is an active promo version available.

    Please check the server-side logs for my pack opening at 8:19 PM on 12/8/2025 — it clearly shows that I received the wrong version.

    since the packs cant have promo cards in it consider urself lucky to get his gold version out of it ^^

    Hi all,

    Couple of days ago, after opening the see you at the Bernabeu Spain 82 SBC group reward Starter pack, I received a gold David Alaba card. ( I have attached a screenshot.) However, at the moment Joga Bonito promo is going on which has a special promo card for alaba. Whenever players have a promo card their gold card is out of packs. So I think it's a mistake that I received a gold card instead I should have got a promo card. I raised this case with EA. I received a reply to put it on the forum here as other players might have faced the same issue. So please upvote if you are in the same boat. I hope EA sports grants us correct content.
