BEST FIX (clean reset – works in most cases)
Step 1: Delete corrupted settings file
On your PS5:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Saved Data and Game/App Settings
- Select Saved Data (PS5) (or PS4 version if you use it)
- Go to Console Storage
Select FC 26
Delete:
Settings file / Personal Settings
(Do NOT delete Career/UT progress unless you want to)
Step 2: Restart game
Fully close FC26
Restart PS5 (important)
Step 3: Create new profile
When you open the game:
Select “Create a new profile”
This creates a fresh, non-corrupted settings file
If it STILL happens
Try this:
Choose “Continue without saving” once
Go into settings manually in FC26
Save new profile from inside game
IMPORTANT (Cloud save issue)
Sometimes the corrupted file comes back from cloud.
Fix:
On your PS Go to Settings → Saved Data
Check Cloud Storage
Delete FC26 settings there too
Or turn off auto-sync temporarily
LAST RESORT
Reinstall the game (only if above fails)
Why this happens
Game crash during save
Patch/update conflict
Cloud overwrite issue
Bro advice
Do NOT keep pressing “Retry”
It will loop forever
Clean reset = permanent fix in most cases
