Matchmaking issue

What is there to fix? Having Icons does not make players better. My brother last year had started FC later in the year and went unbeaten with a 10k coin Bundesliga squad up until the lower divisions. He beat players with full icon teams who were hanging around the higher divisions without having a single Icon.

I think matchmaking is broken not only in rivals but even more in gauntlet and other tournaments. I played all 14 gauntlet entries and lost nearly all matches against much higher skilled opponents. And I failed to win the tournament even once. There is no elo or form like WL. Matchmaking is random and does not put into account your prior results in those tournaments. Season 3 evo cup is a nightmare for me. I can easily tell from the way my opponents play that they are way more skilled than me yet when I lose against them I get matched up with similar level opponents again almost every time. Until now I couldn't complete the related objectives and I've given up trying. Now all I do is score a goal against myself one or two times in order to send a message to my opponents that all I want is for you to give me a donation and let me score a goal so that I can do the objective requirements. And it works.

It shouldn't be this way but because EA fail to balance matchmaking you are forced to think of alternatives.

The biggest issue, that I hope EA fix, is that Elite-level players cry and complain about the Live Events not being fun so EA caters to them -- which makes sense given the following they have. Unfortunately, what that means for the lower-skilled players, it means we get screwed over. I've complained to EA about this issue and it just falls on deaf ears. Like you said, most games I just try to get the score 1 objective and I have such a hard time winning. On the other hand, my brother (who is in lower divisions), can get his gaunlet done in one try. It's totally not fair that EA are making it easy for higher-skilled players and making a living hell for lower-skilled players. >:/

I understand that people coming with rare cards are not elite. But do you know one thing? From Division 7 or 8, I reached Division 3 with only 4 losses. Now, because of the matchmaking, I’m stuck in the middle of Division 5. I’m not able to win even one match. The opponents are really strong. By the way they play, I can easily say they are far above my division.Rivals feels like champions

I think EA is forcing me to spend money and buy players and promo cards. Seriously, I feel like that. This issue is happening only for the last 4 days. I use only gold players. I haven’t completed any SBCs till now. I’ve never opened store packs with coins — only opened the 30-coin and 10-coin packs.

never spend money to play(win) video games. In india we have so many poor people, just buy something for them or help them with resources. but not money to games. 

the pattern is that you will loose so many matches then you start winning. i have beaten a guy with 11 icons in weekend league match number 3 and lost to a guy with full gold squad. I think that dont pay much attention. accept the fact that people who pay every week will get more wins and why they shouldnt ? they are providing resources to the company. I am in div 3 too
