Saying it wouldn't be called legendary if they could be easily beaten is a bit disingenuous. I play on legendary and world class, and the AI is nutty. Camavinga get held off by a 70 rated winger with 57 physical, the 59 rated LB and 61 rated cb playing perfect tiki take football with less than 50 passing each. Not to mention the inch perfect tackles they put in 90% of the time, I genuinely think they have put the input reading up to cracked out of it's mind.
Don't even get me started on the ridiculous way this AI plays most of the time, I'm literally chasing shadows for large parts of the game, and it seems reluctant to even want to play a pass forward. There are 4 more games than last year, but the points required to get elite 1 have stayed roughly the same. That alone shows the massive jump in AI difficulty.
I think the main problem is that squad battles for the majority is the chill mode of Ultimate Team, and yeah you could say they can just turn the difficulty down, but like the rest of us they still want good rewards. It's a good thing that EA have buffed the rewards a bit more to match the difficulty, or it wouldn't be worth playing at all.
Don’t get me wrong either, I will get close to 30k points a week so it's not like I'm bad at the game, but it's about finding a good middle. At least the AI actually took chances on 25 and tried to push up the field more often than not.
