Not real football
EA FC 26 has quickly become one of the most frustrating football games to play, and here’s why. First off, defending feels completely broken. No matter how good your positioning is, it’s almost impossible to actually stop attackers. Players can just spam R1 dribbling and glide straight through an entire team with little to no resistance. That takes all the skill out of defending and makes the game feel more like a glitch-fest than real football.
On top of that, the goalkeepers are totally inconsistent. Sometimes they play like amateurs and let in soft shots, but then in 1v1 situations, they suddenly turn into prime Manuel Neuer, making ridiculous saves that don’t even make sense. It ruins the flow of the game because you never know what to expect, and it feels more random than skill-based.
The biggest problem is how boring it becomes. When attacking is all about abusing R1 dribbling and defending doesn’t actually work, matches feel repetitive and unfair. Instead of feeling like a realistic football sim, EA FC 26 feels like an arcade game with broken mechanics.
In short: defending is useless, dribbling is overpowered, goalkeepers are inconsistent, and the gameplay is flat-out boring. EA FC 26 doesn’t reward skill—it rewards exploiting flaws. That’s why so many players are frustrated, and why the game feels like a massive letdown.
