Poor AI or bad coding

Just played a game where my AI defence refused to track the run on 2 occasions causing the oppo team to score., and one of them literally run past my player while he was doing nothing at all.

but the oppo AI was covering any run, covering when the person mad a bad slide tackle etc making it impossible to even get close to the goal. 

im on a wired connection, along with having the correct players in the positions and all plus plus in their positions

game is a joke. Each player should get the same amount of assistance
