Problems with the game during the game

Ultimate games start normally in online matches, but during the first half, players suddenly stop responding to the directional buttons and simply stand still. During the second half, and sometimes during the first, the game goes into slow motion and becomes completely unresponsive. This results in constant losses. What should I do?
