Squad Battles AI
The update to career mode ai has completely broken and ruined squad battles. Might work on authentic but clearly doesn't on competitive, this must not have been tested and if it was then please fire...

After ther recent update, I feel compelled to say that I am once again having fun with SB. The simple reason for this is that the BS backpassing AI has finally been fixed, so you won't spend your sweet time chasing a ball until you terminate the game out of frustration. Defensive AI has somehow become worse according to some prominent players, but others claim that simply nothing has changed (though they claim they changed certain things). I'll refrain from conclusions so far until I've played more.
Somehow it also became easier and I got about 6K points more than last week, but I assume that goes for everybody. We are once again close to the difficulty levels like it was last year, which was balanced. I don't feel like the AI "cheats" on legendary and below like last week. Now it's probably only on Ultimate, but I don't mind that (you gotta have some difficulty, be it artificial). The rewards are quite bad and there are little differences between tiers so I don't really care.
Don't take this for a "positive" note. I'm not going to applaud EA for screwing something up bigtime and then reverting it back the way it was. I still can't believe how you can screw something up. One single test person could've told them that this anti-soccer gameplay wasn't fun.
You are jokingMarginal0 about having fun again. Nothing has really changed a whole lot, the game has slowed or become sluggish. AI still way overpowered on teams 72 or below with zero chem still making 95% passing, but now the game mocks you by just clearing it towards your defenders, still the AI will win headers or hold off a strong defender with a low strength player and or out jump them. AI will still be faster, as in a lb with 63 passing keeping up with marmoush winter wildcards who has 92 speed, yet my micky van de ven or lacroix winter wildcards can’t keep up with a gold isak. The game is not fair, the game is heavy weighted towards the AI and the last ditched tackles is a joke and never gets it wrong even from a 64 bronze player. The aggressiveness is over the top, swarming is still a thing, and your AI is as dumb as a bucket of frogs. There is no fin in this game, EA don’t care at all. It’s only about money money money
I am not joking. It's not that I'm having more fun than before, just the same as in the vanilla game.
I feel you are just frustrated. Other people are doing 10-0 I read against these 72 teams on legendary so they are hardly "overpowered". What numbers are you expecting? 15-0 would be a tad bit boring. It is known the Ultimate difficulty is artificial and therefore "cheating", but what do you expect from the hardest difficulty. It seems people are trained to believe "impossible" difficulties should be doable by everyone and their mothers, but they shouldn't.
They screwed up before and fixed it now (in the laziest way possible, yes, but it's fixed). Denying that anything at all is changed is just delusional. Yes, there's still a number of things that are ridiculous, but remember that it's just a game. If you are not having fun, do yourself a favor and discard this POS game. I'm going to stick around for a while longer as I spend 70$ on it, but I'm probably better off devoting more time on other games. Complaining to the devs is useless. You seem to have figured that out at least, but still you persist in complaining here on these forums. Do not waste your time.
Marginal0 I don’t expect to beat teams of my level on legendary, but I do expect to beat a team with a CB for a GK and strikers for defenders.
they have zero chem, and a rating of 72. Compared to my 87/33. Yet the AI is still hitting 95% of there passing, having 100% shooting which I even had a GK playing in cam absolutely muller a ball into top bins while being pressured by a genuine defender.
the game works off if it’s in the game, and one update they said it’s hard because it’s realistic. But I’m sorry, when you have a bronze defender with 50 pace keeping up with say mbappe or isak etc is not true to realism, or anyteam hitting 95% passing when the people have never played together in there life and from all warps of the globe is defo not realisticand that’s what I want. What they say a realistic experiance, not a CB in goal that’s saving 4-5 shots that are good shots when my GK can’t stop a tame shot from a CB for example
