The update to career mode ai has completely broken and ruined squad battles. Might work on authentic but clearly doesn't on competitive, this must not have been tested and if it was then please fire...

Played 1 game today, and turned it off (and I nearly turned it off midgame)
The game flat out cheats
One player onside, the other has ran offside for NO REASON, I have trainer on so I can see precisely where I am aiming and....the game passes to the offside player ignoring where I was aiming
Absolute joke of a game, and I am this close to uninstalling it because I have had enough of EA's definition of a "challenge" being overcoming the games cheating
Uninstalling was best thing I did, having so much fun on other games now.
I'm very close to uninstalling. Offline modes also have lost all appeal.
Just now I faced another Mbappé that tried an acrobatic volley from a corner and... AI got a penalty. I didn't push the tackle button. In the replay you don't even see an animation from the defender. He just fails the volley and falls flat on his face. It's the second time an unjust penalty happened this week. It's become downright embarrassing.
For the objectives I'm playing with a 59 bronze PoS keeper from Saudi league, and he's... doing an amazing job, almost better than TotY Donnaruma. HE EVEN CAUGHT THE PENALTY... What's the point? No srly: why did I fistpump when I finally packed a TotY after 3 years?
Again: I'm getting amazing results, winning every SB with 5-0 or 5-1. Never better. Elite 1 every week. But I can only score by abusing their own unbalanced mechanics. Any attempt at a strategic buildup gets shut down.
Another thing that has gone undiscussed: AI players are superdirty. They use supposed "strategic fouls" that will get yellow every single time - never red - despite it being really on the border and a potential red irl. In previous games I've seen AI teams go 2 red cards up.
This doesn't happen in career as there'd be consequences, and few players online don't resort to these tactics to save their hide. But I guess it's just another tool for AI to cheat their own difficulty system, to stop the player from scoring logical results (like 15-0 against those bronze teams).
