Squad battles ruined

Since the recent patch, the AI in Squad Battles has completely changed. Even on lower difficulties, they’re suddenly playing like prime Barcelona — perfect passing, constant pressure, and no mistakes.

 

It doesn’t feel balanced or realistic anymore. The AI dominates possession, wins every 50/50, and punishes you for the smallest error. I’ve already lost six Squad Battles matches since the start of FC 26, which has never happened to me before.

 

And why is EA changing things that didn’t need changing? First, they altered dribbling, making it slower and less responsive, and now they’ve ramped up the AI for no reason. No one asked for this — it just makes the game less enjoyable for everyone.

 

The worst part is, nothing will change unless the pros start complaining. EA only ever seems to react when big content creators or professional players call things out, while the rest of the community gets ignored.

 

Squad Battles used to be a mode you could actually relax and enjoy, but right now it feels over-tuned and unnecessarily difficult.

    Yeah, I just saw that too! ;( We've complained so much about how every mode is a sweatfest and they go and do this! D:<

    Do EA even play their game, as to say this mode is made more realistic, then say that stones or maguire can outrun mbeumo or haarland, as well as putting in perfect last ditched tackles every-time is far from realistic

    then the tackling, you run through the back of the player in any top league it’s a foul, in FC26 as long as it’s AI it’s always a perfect tackle.

    since when as a team say like Lincoln city who plays in a low English division able to outclass a team like PSG on possession…..that’s realistic

    i really wish I was a billionaire, I would sue the hell out of EA for defamation or realistic football

    The only way to make EA listen is by not spending money, and by not engaging with these modes. No one I know even touches UT anymore. I get the game on sale for £10 and only play offline or clubs.

    EA don't change unless it costs them money. For everyone complaining about it, but continuing to buy packs, you are part of the problem.
