Suggestion on the design for Squad Battles
Not about the AI, but about what exactly does EA want this mode to do? Should silver/bronze cards be given 99 stats in game under higher difficulty? The validity of stats is suppose to remain the same no matter what difficulty I choose, otherwise, why would I spend time and money to get player cards with better stats?
In all other games, PvE mode serves the purpose of letting players feeling the joy of stats increment. For example, in World of Warcraft and many games, if you grinded/paid for a better weapon, you feel the stats increment in PvE mode.
In EAFC, I am not talking about the AI, just some trivial stats differences on PHY and SPD. Should silver/bronze card be given 99 stats in game under higher difficulty? I don't think so. I spend money and time to do EVOs or get promo cards so that I can feel the difference in PvE games, that is what I deserve. I deserve to win over a silver 72 rating team, because even if you have the pro players using these silver team against me, 2-star skill move is solid 2 star, he cannot do anything fancier than that. 57 speed is 57 speed, he just cannot outrun my 94 pace player. 50 physicality just cannot elbow my 92 strength player away. I know EA would come up with the classic "there are many factors that lead to this, not just face stats", but let's be real,
Of course the AI can be harder in higher difficulties, but beware that AI already can do things that human players are not allowed to. For example, L1 more than 1 player at the same time so AI can have more than one passing route. High press with 3 or more players on my player with no stamina loss, etc. Those are more than allowed in higher difficulty, but just don't manually change in-game stats, as those are the only thing we players play this game for.
I would very much appreciated if you can forward this to the game development team and I would be keen to know their thought on maintaining the validity of face stats in all game modes.
