Suggestion to improve SBC “Claim Reward” button and confirmation flow in FC 26
Dear EA SPORTS FC Team,
I would like to submit a usability suggestion regarding Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).
Recently, I accidentally submitted a full TOTW squad into a low‑value SBC because of the current “Claim Reward” button placement and the lack of a confirmation step. The issue is made worse by the fact that:
- The SBC “Claim Reward” button is in the exact same location and has a very similar look to the button used to view reserve players (those outside of the bench) in regular squad screens outside the SBC environment.
- Viewing reserves is an action players perform frequently and almost by reflex. When moving quickly between normal squad management and SBCs, it is very easy to press that button by muscle memory.
- There is no confirmation message asking if the user is sure they want to submit the squad, even when it contains high‑value or special items. The squad is just accepted immediately, which makes irreversible mistakes far more likely.
Because of this, I unintentionally traded in an entire TOTW lineup into a low‑value SBC, with no warning and no chance to cancel.
My suggestions are:
- Move or visually change the SBC “Claim Reward” / “Submit Squad” button so it is clearly distinct from the button used to view reserve players in normal squads.
- Add a confirmation message before submitting an SBC squad, especially when it includes special or high‑rated items. For example: “Are you sure you want to submit this squad? The players will be permanently removed from your club.” with Yes/No options.
- Optionally, highlight if the squad includes special cards or extremely exceeds the expected value, so players are fully aware of what they are about to lose.
These changes would significantly reduce accidental submissions caused by habit or reflex and would protect players from losing valuable items due to a single mistaken click.
Thank you for taking this feedback into consideration and for continuing to improve FC 26.
Best regards,
Carlos
