Transfer market ban / UK Rights.
Seems a lot of people are going through a ban wave for a ‘balance transfer’, after 10 appeals you cannot appeal anymore and advisor cannot or do not wish to help us. TOS Team copy and paste their emails, giving several reasons on why I am banned yet the penalty history states ‘balance transfer’ which I have never would or have committed.
I have now fully exhausted EA’s internal complaints and appeals procedures, having submitted ten (10) appeals via the EA Help system. These appeals were rejected under inconsistent and generic justifications, and at no point was I provided with any specific evidence, transaction details, or explanation sufficient to justify the action taken.
Breach of UK Consumer Protection Standards
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content supplied to UK consumers must be:
- Provided with reasonable care and skill
- Fit for purpose
- As described
By imposing a punitive restriction on my account without evidence, transparency, or meaningful review, EA has failed to exercise reasonable care and skill in administering the services attached to EA Sports FC 26.
Further, EA has materially restricted access to a core gameplay mechanic (the Transfer Market) that forms part of the paid digital product, thereby reducing the functionality and value of the service I have purchased.
Unfair and Non‑Transparent Enforcement
The enforcement process applied to my account raises serious concerns under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, specifically in relation to:
- Lack of clear reasoning or evidence
- Reliance on automated or template responses
- Changing justifications throughout appeals
- No clear or accessible method to challenge or correct enforcement errors
Despite multiple written requests, EA has refused to:
- Identify the transactions alleged to be illegitimate
- Provide reasoning tying my behaviour to “balance transfer”
- Demonstrate how my activity breached any specific rule
This constitutes a non‑transparent enforcement process, contrary to fair dealing expectations for UK consumers.
Legitimate Use of In‑Game Mechanics
I categorically deny engaging in:
- Coin buying, selling, or gifting
- Coin farming or market manipulation
- Third‑party services, bots, cheating, or account sharing
All activity on my account involved legitimate player trading using mechanics explicitly designed and promoted within EA Sports FC 26. Trading players at market value does not constitute balance transfer under normal, reasonable interpretation of EA’s rules.
I suggest people to write to their countries EA headquarters and to request for Section 15 of their user agreement to be initiated. Hopefully EA actually listen to the community and do the right action of rectifying this mass ban wave a lot of people have been wrongfully impacted by.
