did you get him from the Gold Starting XI Pack by chance? If so, those packs only give gold players, even if there's an event version of a player currently active.
Hey, I got him from a 5x 81+ pack. All my duplicates from that pack are 81+. Everything is still sitting in the “unassigned duplicates” section.

some base packs only include the gold versions of a player - if you believe that you pulled the wrong version from a pack that should not include it, please contact Support, so they can check what pack you got it from and if the content was incorrect. We unfortunately cannot check this here in the forum as we don't have access to account information.
