WORKAROUND FOUND for transfer demands + loan offers for low rated players.

I tested this in a fresh Career save with Coventry city for 12 games (including pre season) and it made squad management much more playable and enjoyable

At career setup:

  1. Set players contract negotiations to the most lenient option. (lever to reduce player transfer demands)
  2. Set transfer negotiations/realism to the most lenient option too (lever for getting loan offers for low rated and young players)
  3. Set energy recovery to always full. (optional and 2nd lever to influence player transfer demands)

Once the save starts:

Renew your players’ contracts and negotiate lower squad roles. I managed to move all Crucial players down to Important, and all other players to Rotation or Sporadic. It cost a little more in wages (10-20%), but reduced their playing-time expectations and the chances that they ask to leave the club

With full energy, you can also play them more regularly without the constant fatigue → rotation → transfer-demand cycle.

The biggest improvement: I listed six players rated 62–70 for sale or loan and received offers for all six.

I know full energy might sacrifices some realism, but injuries, form, unexpected events and voluntary rotation still give you reasons to change the lineup.

This worked in my testing, not a guaranteed fix. I haven’t confirmed whether it prevents every transfer request or fixes agreed transfers getting stuck. But if you’re struggling with player demanding to leave and zero offers for low rated players , it’s worth trying. Please share your results!

* Update 29.10.26 : I m now also blocking players transfer to see if this has any effect on them potentially demanding to leave.

We’ve all known for years that EA doesn’t care about career mode. They’ve barely tried to hide it, and anyone who claims otherwise is in a very small minority.

But we keep coming back and giving it another go, because we love career mode. Building a club and a career is what FIFA was before FUT took over.

This latest release feels different, though. The bugs, the neglect, the complete lack of accountability: it makes me think it’s finally over. Career mode is unplayable right now, let’s be honest, and that just confirms what we’ve all suspected. EA doesn’t care, and it’s now there in plain sight for everyone to see.

  • These workaround tactics can function for short periods, however, only for career mode saves lasting one or two seasons. With the broken Dynamic OVR system, players begin demanding Crucial squad roles after the January transfer window in season one. Another aspect, players with Important squad roles must play the full ninety minutes of every match to avoid transfer request submissions. For over a decade, the game code has been misconfigured where substituting players at any point of the match, even last five minutes, players will not get credit for an appearence; registers in graphic and stats, but not in playing time calculations for transfer submissions. Blocking transfers in squad hub has zero effect, and utilizing loose transfers in Manager Career setup menu, only makes clubs accept lower fees for players and allows user to acquire players from direct rivals; no effect on loaning out players, especially low rated or scouted youths. Appreciate the effort, however, is severe problem requiring developer intervention to patch.

Thanks for this! Good thinking, although it doesn’t fix it of course! We shouldn’t have to be searching for workarounds to enjoy the game for god sake EA!

I am curious about this method, say a player extends for another 2 years and has 1 year left…. I wonder if after the 2nd/3rd season if you will be able to offer another contract or will we see a return of the classic bug “you already negotiated a contract with this player” another EA classic they never fixed.

I agree, but we can stay frustrated for couple more weeks or months until EA maybe solve this issue, or we can invest some time to make it playable. its is not prefect but at least it restore some hope.

These workarounds are frustrating because they don’t fix the actual issues. We shouldn’t have to rely on workarounds for serious bugs.

And it's because mate mine would be a Liverpool career so in my head would I be able to do this with the Liverpool players is it harder to do or would it be roughly the same 👍

For me it worked so far after 12 games. no problem at all, the contract situation seems to be key here, the lower the squad role you manage to downgrade the player to, the better it is. The few ones remaining ones important/crucial role would just need to play normally. I would say it would reduce bugging by at least 80% if you just do regular rotations but you have to try it for yourself.  Im curious  to hear other experiences too.

  • Does this help the transfer request bug mate and stop it happening 👍
