E-Mail from EA claiming i use "unauthorized" or "modified" Client on PC
Hi,
i received an E-Mail claiming that EA has noticed that i would use a "modified" or "unauthorized" client.
First of all: What does that even mean? How am i supposed to play the Game with Javelin Anticheat enabled in any other way it's supposed to? I don't even use Steam or any other third-party tool to run EA FC.
The mail i received looks 100% real and has the e.ea.com adress. When i compare them to Mails i normally receive from EA everything checks out and is 1000% no phishing attempt.
They now restricted my account from accessing the transfer market on the web app which i haven't even used since EA FC 27 came out.... What kind of punishment is that? If i'd really be using some weird, unauthorized or modified client i should not be able to access the game at ALL. I am not trying to enforce a harder punishment on myself but it just doesn't make any sense and leads me to believing that they think i am doing something suspicious on the Web App which, like stated above, i am not using.
Upon checking my account status the "sanctions history" says that my account is completely fine and there are no open penalties. Yet they send me a "warning" that doesn't show up anywhere in my account.
Now i am kinda worried that if i don't take action my account could be getting banned - even tho i don't know how to fix the issue if i don't know what it is.
The only thing i use is Citrix Desktop App when i work from home (remote desktop). Last few days i was idling in the EA FC menu, doing transfers and building my ultimate team while Citrix was running.
Is there a chance that Javelin Anti Cheat is flagging Citrix as a cheat/exploit of some sort? I know for a fact that you can't startup League of Legends when Citrix is running. Why can i start EA FC tho and Javelin is not complaining if that was the issue?
The only other possibility on why EA thinks im "cheating":
I got shadowbanned from the transfermarket in Ultimate Team several times since launch because of messed up price ranges. Many players were extinct (even more so on PC than on console) over the last few days so the only chance of getting them was by spamming player searches repeatedly until you manage to buy one. That ranged from 30 minutes to even 3 hours of me sitting in my chair and spamming trade searches. Sometimes EA is restricting you for 30-60 minutes from using the transfer market because of the high frequency of trade searches. Even tho everything was manually done and no scripts, cheats or exploits used.
Did my account run into some weird automatic trigger? Does EA really underestimate my self-flaggelation of spamming a tradesearch for litteral hours and think i am a bot or automated system?
Did anyone here ever get this or comparable E-Mails? And more important - what can i even do now if they claim my Client is modified when all i do is launch the game from the official and fully updated EA App on my PC with EA Pro Subscription!?
Thanks for any advice, tips or similar experiences shared.
EA replied to me! :)
My account was flagged for something i didn't do apparently and they took back the penalty. Not sure why it happened in the first place but glad it got solved.
