EA Agents Keep Closing My Chats Without Explaining Why
EA Play Pro Refund 6+ EA Agents Keep Closing My Chats Without Giving Me a Reason
I purchased an EA Play Pro monthly subscription on October 4, 2026.
I am requesting a refund because the subscription has been completely unused.
I have NOT downloaded or installed any game through EA Play Pro.
I have NOT launched or played any game.
I have NOT used any EA Play Pro benefits.
I am requesting the refund only 3 days after purchasing the subscription.
The biggest problem is not even the refund decision itself. It is the way EA Support is handling my request.
I have contacted at least 6 different EA Support agents about this issue. Every time, I explain the exact same situation and ask for a refund. Instead of properly reviewing my case, the agents either refuse the refund or simply close the chat without giving me a clear reason why I am supposedly ineligible.
I have repeatedly asked them:
What exactly makes me ineligible for a refund when I have not downloaded, installed, launched, or played any game and have not used any EA Play Pro benefits?
Nobody has given me a proper answer.
If EA is refusing my refund, I expect EA Support to provide a clear and specific reason, not simply close the conversation.
EA's own refund information states that EA Play memberships are generally non-refundable, but it also says that customers who believe they may be entitled to a refund should contact EA Support.
That is exactly what I have been doing.
I am not asking for a refund after playing a game for days or using the membership. I purchased the subscription on October 4, have not used it, and am requesting the refund only 3 days later.
At this point, I am asking EA to have an actual billing/refund specialist or supervisor review the transaction instead of sending me through the same cycle where an agent refuses the request and closes the chat without explaining the decision.
EA: If I am genuinely ineligible for a refund, please tell me exactly why. Don't just close my chat.
Hey suxa1hl7jdzi,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. It's completely valid to want to know why your refund request has been refused, rather than being left hanging.
While EA Play memberships are generally non-refundable, if you believe you're entitled to a refund per the Right of Withdrawal, you'll need to connect with our live support team again and state so once you're connected with an advisor. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee your refund will be processed, as we don't have much insight into that process here on the forums, nor can we escalate or support these requests.
