Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for giving those initial troubleshooting steps a try and for sharing your updates with us. I am truly sorry to hear that the basic steps haven't resolved the connection issues you are experiencing on PlayStation 5 with EA SPORTS FC 27.
Since you mentioned you can enjoy other EA titles like EA SPORTS College Football 25 or FC 26 without any trouble, and the Web App is working perfectly fine, this suggests your EA Account status and general network are in good shape. Given this is specific to FC 27, we should look into some advanced steps that focus on console licensing, network routing, and server-specific ports:
- Restore PlayStation 5 Licenses:
Sometimes local license credentials can get desynchronized after updates, which prevents a specific game from completing its security handshake with our servers.- To do this: Navigate to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. Select "Restore" and wait for the process to complete, then restart your console.
- Synchronize System Time:
If your console's internal clock is even slightly out of sync with the internet servers, secure connection certificates (SSL) can fail.- To do this: Navigate to Settings > System > Date and Time. Ensure "Set Automatically" is turned on, and manually select "Sync Now" to force-update the time.
- Test with a Mobile Hotspot (Cross-Testing):
- Try using your phone's cellular data to set up a personal hotspot (4G or 5G), and connect your PS5 to it. If the game successfully logs in, it tells us that your home broadband provider (ISP) is facing specific routing blocks to our FC 25 nodes.
If you've gone through these steps and still find yourself staring at that "You have lost your connection" screen, please reply here and let us know.
Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and collaboration while we work through this together. We want to get you back on the pitch as quickly as possible.
