Severe input delay despite stable ping and FPS - “Performance issue detected”
Hello,
I am experiencing a severe gameplay and input delay issue in EA SPORTS FC 27 on PC (Steam).
During online matches, a red performance indicator appears and the game displays “Performance issue detected”. When this happens, my FPS remains stable and my ping stays around 20 ms, but the gameplay becomes almost completely unplayable.
The main symptoms are:
- Extremely delayed controller inputs
- Players sometimes respond several seconds after I press a button
- Players occasionally perform actions that I did not input
- Gameplay becomes extremely sluggish despite stable FPS
- The issue only occurs during online matches
- Offline matches work normally
I have already tested several things:
- Stable ping around 20 ms
- Tested using my phone’s mobile hotspot and the same issue occurred
- Continuous ping to 1.1.1.1 remained stable
- EA Connection Quality Report score: 81
- Verified Steam game files: 313/313 files successfully validated
- Installed the latest game update
- Restarted the PC
- FPS remains stable when the problem occurs
The problem can also start during the first online match, even if everything works normally at the beginning of the match.
Since the issue occurs on two different internet connections and there is no FPS drop or obvious network instability, this seems more likely to be related to FC 27 online gameplay synchronization, servers, or the “Performance issue detected” system rather than my PC or internet connection.
Is this a known issue? Are the developers currently investigating it?
Any information about a workaround or upcoming fix would be greatly appreciated.
