New Controller, same B$

I just bought a brand new Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition with a 2,000Hz(8000 max) polling rate on PC, thinking my one-year-old Xbox controller, which runs at 250Hz, was the reason behind my missed inputs and sluggish gameplay. It turns out the hardware was never the problem. The game itself is.

I am completely exhausted by the inconsistent gameplay mechanics in Ultimate Team. How is it technically possible for an 83-pace defender like Cancelo to catch up with and dispossess a max-pace Season card like Adeyemi? Why can lower-rated opponents perform ridiculous five-meter jumping interceptions, while an elite defensive midfielder like Tchouameni, equipped with Intercept PlayStyle+, watches the ball pass within 30 centimeters of his feet without even reacting?

The gameplay disparity is completely broken. In almost every match, my opponent's players feel artificially boosted, pulling off impossible long-range shots and passing effortlessly through three defenders. Meanwhile, my own team feels unresponsive, sluggish, and incapable of completing basic passes into wide-open spaces because the opposition AI seems programmed to intercept everything.

Being a PC player makes this experience even worse because we are stuck between two terrible options. Turn Crossplay off, and the PC player pool becomes a breeding ground for matchmaking exploits and suspected cheaters. Leave Crossplay on, and you have to deal with frustrating server desync and inconsistent gameplay against console players.

EA, why are we paying hundreds of euros year after year for a game that cannot deliver consistent, responsive gameplay? If someone invests in high-end PC hardware and a fast, stable internet connection, the game should respond accurately to their inputs. A 2,000Hz controller should not feel like a pointless purchase because the actual gameplay remains inconsistent.

Ever since FIFA 23, the technical quality of this franchise has felt like it has gone backwards rather than forwards. Instead of improving responsiveness, consistency, and competitive integrity, every match feels like a lottery in which your players may or may not function as expected.

At this point, this is not a competitive football game. It is an unplayable joke.
