Ultimate Team Not Working

Question

I purchased an EA Play Pro subscription specifically to play EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Team, but I have been completely unable to access the mode for over 24 hours. Every time I try to enter, I receive the error message: "Connecting to Football Ultimate Team is not possible at this time. You will return to the main menu."

I have already attempted all standard troubleshooting steps (restarting the game, logging out of the EA App, checking server status, verifying network connections), and nothing resolves the issue.

Given that I have paid for a subscription service (EA Play Pro) and cannot use its primary feature, this is completely unacceptable.

Please provide an immediate fix for this account connection issue or process a full refund for my EA Play Pro subscription.

Ok so I got mine sorted over the weekend with a random fix but may work for you too. It seems to be an issue due to EA27 trying to open EA26 ultimate team data and naturally being unable to connect as it’s a different game giving the connection error.

I swapped all existing data on my console to the micro SD memory card and removed the card from my switch as if it never existed leaving no existing FIFA data on my console.

I then redownloaded EA27 to the console like it was the first install and logged in as normal. The old data wasn’t there for it to pick up and it logged in setting up a new ultimate team for EA27.

Problem solved and a very happy 9 year old in the process. Hope this works for you 👍
