Club Challenge La Liga Match Froze

I was leading 2-1 in extra time when my La Liga club challenge match froze. In the previous two days I was twice kicked out of a club challenge match midway through due to an alleged network disconnection. Each time my internet connection was completely stable and fast (I sit mere feet from my router), but the game inexplicably quit on me and dealt me a loss both times. So today I cleared my cache just to make sure there was zero reason to encounter another glitch, but this time the screen just froze. Apparently it also froze for my opponent because he was sending me thumbs down emojis for the 4-5 minutes we both waited for the issue to resolve—but it didn’t. Despite being able to toggle my tactics and select substitutions, the gameplay remained frozen (see screenshots). So, finally I had to force quit the app and upon rebooting I received the customary message that the machine had expired.

All this is to say that there appears to be an emerging issue with club challenges. I don’t have any similar problems in other parts of the game (except occasionally H2H) and, having cleared my cache just an hour or so earlier, I don’t see how this can be an issue on my end.

  • So, I just launched a H2H match and immediately encountered a network error message. My internet connection is perfect. So, why do I keep encountering these glitches? I cleared the app cache on my iPad earlier today and it makes no sense that I’m gonna take a loss on yet another match that I should have been able to actually play.

  • And no sooner had I launched my next H2H match than I got this…AGAIN.

    Somebody tell me what the heck is going on. My ping is 23ms. I’m sitting 8 feet from my router. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with my network EXCEPT when I try to play H2H.

  • Third time in a row! Just launched a H2H match and made it all the way to the field view loading before the same network error message popped up. I’m beyond pissed at this point. If I were on a cell phone with one bar I could totally understand losing my connection, but I’m in my home on a high-speed connection and this makes no sense. I literally just did and speed test and I’m at 332.20 mbps download and 16.10 mbps upload. I’ve never had this problem before this 48 hrs. Somebody from EA please tell me what’s going on.

    Not sure why I even bother posting. EA never responds. They apparently set up these forums in the hopes that no one will notice that they don’t really offer customer support. Give the customers a place where they can scream into the void in the hopes that they eventually just go away. Comcast would be proud!
