Including a screenshot of a H2H matchup I just had that was virtually unplayable and 100% unwinnable thanks to a ridiculously high ping. This is why I’m in here ranting. I’m playing on a 9th generation iPad sitting mere feet from my router on an internet connection that even during a congested period is still showing a 32ms ping. The problem is that EA’s matchmaking routinely triples or quadruples that ping because it matches opponents who are too far away from each other. The result is it RUINS the user experience. I wasn’t competing with this opponent—because the lag made that impossible! Instead, I was left fuming as my opponent repeatedly taunted me because his ping advantage allowed him to walk all over me. This is the opposite of fun and if EA doesn’t care about fun anymore then it ought to just pack up shop because it’s truly lost its way.
Different day, same story. Just played a Premier League Club Challenge match with ridiculous lag — +80ms throughout. Ran a speed test immediately afterward and my ACTUAL ping is 27ms. This is pretty clear cut: If EA cares anything about users having an enjoyable experience and wants matches to actually be competitive then they need to address this issue. My ping shouldn’t triple or quadruple in more than half the H2H matches I play.

I have the same problem. I cant explain it but i think it has something to do with the new beta version. probably they are using the same servers... I somehow fix the problem with LagoSoft and by lowering my graphic settings. Now if i have high lag the frame rate just goes lower, like when you disconnect and reconnect to a match but afther a couple of seconds is ok and sometime i ma nage to win or draw. Its not perfect but...
