Joystick and pass issue

When I’m playing any mode on my phone I’m having an issue whereby if I move my joystick upwards I'm unable to press the pass button for around 1-2 seconds. However, this is not the case when I’m moving the joystick downwards as I’m able to press the pass button. This issue is really evident after I perform a skill move right before and move straight upwards which disables my pass button for a second or two. I’ve thought that the issue lies in my phone’s screen but I’m having the same issue after rotating the phone around. Moreover, I’m able to press through ball and any other button, after performing a skill move and moving upwards. I’m experiencing no issues with other games related to button issues so I doubt it’s my phones screen issue. I was just wondering if there’s any method to fix it or if it’s a bug.
