Remove player from the lineup

I removed 2 players from the lineup, and when i came to the star signings [my players] section and try to sell the player i just removed from the lineup, it is still showing that the player is in lineup. I removed the players from all the lineups, also they are not in the lineup which is active in the league tournament. 
please tell me a way to resolve this issue. For past 2 weeks i'm not able to transfer the players because of this issue.
