The game system is terrible. It's rigged and even forces you to lose.

You realise that this was a test for another mod and was left in the game. It never executed any formation changes, and it's really a pointless part of the game from day 1. Treat it as a temporary source of free cards/gems and move on.  It was discussed a lot in the past if you bother to search old threads.
