Hey all — thanks for the reports.
I checked with the game team and was informed that this is working as designed: UEFA Primetime picks can only be made during the active selection window. If the matchday selection deadline is missed, you can’t select players late after squads lock. I know that this is not what you expected to hear. I reported your feedback to the team.

Hi, ive been doing it since it started and been selecting my players when you need to but for a few weeks now it will not let you select anyone. And on the TOTY MIDFIELDER quests i claimed Zambo Anguissa but it did not give me the reward which in turn will stop me getting the overall reward at the end, please could you look into it. Thanks

Yes, I think we’re all aware there is a selection window. I have tried repeatedly to make selections (as I go to the event daily) and at no point in the last three weeks have I been able to make player selections. Put simply, it’s not an issue of missing the window. It’s an issue of the window isn’t opening for some of us.
So, is that it? We’re just out of luck? On the one hand this is kind of a throwaway event, but, on the other, it’s the principle of the matter — i.e., it’s pretty infuriating to be told that the event is working fine when, in fact, it’s not for some of us. Seems like just another in a long line of “the customer is always wrong” experiences with EA. I lodged this issue a month ago and the upshot after four weeks is that I’m STILL going to be locked out this week.
The matches aren’t until Wednesday (meaning there’s still an entire work day to try and fix this, isn’t there something somebody can do to sort this out for us?

So, can you select or not (or rather, could you select)? My players were not selectable for the duration of the UCL break. They were selectable yesterday when I checked yesterday, so I picked Mbappe, Mc Tominay and Marquinhos to see them unselected today on my main account (S25+ so Android) and still selected on a throwaway test account (iPhone), haha. Go figure 🤷. I'm gonna send this through again.
Also, for any compensation or in-depth queries, this needs to be done by EA, not volunteers, so when Pulsar is online later on, I'll chat to him about it as well.- 1440666fd7e443ec3 months agoSeasoned Ace
I have found the “select” buttons either non-existent (as in one of the screenshots I posted earlier in this thread) or inoperable/dead. If there was some sort of fix/patch that pushed through late yesterday then I missed it. I was on earlier in the weekend and still could not select my players (the “select” button appeared this week but were unresponsive). Then when I checked back today the window had already shut again and now I’m locked out for this week’s matches. This makes 4 weeks (matchdays 5-8) that I’ve missed.

This event ends in 3 days and there are many users (on this thread and several others that have not been consolidated) who have reported that we were denied the opportunity to participate (on multiple occasions) because the player selection buttons in this event either did not appear or were unresponsive/inoperable (see screenshot reposted below).
What is EA going to do to compensate us for this bug which caused us to miss out on prizes? And if EA is not prepared to make amends when its game contains bugs (which seem to be occurring more and more frequently), then why should customers invest their time and money in the game? This is a basic customer service issue and we’d all appreciate a response followed by action.

C’mon man. There are just over 24 hours left in this event and still no action from EA to make up for this bug. I was able to collect just 120 tokens thanks to faulty code that made me unable to select players for several weeks. I’ve provided visual evidence. Other users have reported the same issue. Why has EA taken no action to make this right and compensate us. And why would any of us spend money on this game if this is the way we can expect to be treated when we encounter bugs?

Just to reiterate… I posted a picture documenting that this event was not working “as designed.” The screenshot which I’m re-posting for the third time here shows I still have time on the clock to select my players (i.e., the selection window had NOT closed) but the selection buttons do not appear in the image. This is a BUG. It’s staring us right in the face plain as day.
So, no matter what “the game team” found when they ran their check, this user’s experience did not match their findings. This bug prevented me from participating in multiple weeks of the event, and others reported it happening to them as well. I waited through the end of the event (today) for some sort of compensation/justice so that I might be able to trade in for at least a mediocre player and I got nothing — no acknowledgment of my screenshot showing the bug and no compensation. Despite playing the event almost daily for MONTHS, I ended it without having won a single player reward because EA either ignored the evidence I provided or just willfully refused to acknowledge a documented bug. Either way, it’s a crappy way to treat a customer and it won’t be forgotten.
