Ability to select Separate League lineup

I definitely can say I am not alone in being completely perplexed at the strange decision to take out the option to have a separate lineup assigned to a League.  I try to play various combinations but would want to maintain a stable lineup for the league so that in VS tourneys opponents always face my best squad.  

If I can't do this what's the point of buying a lineup? There is no way it is useful for the user.  Current functionality always changes my league team to my active lineup which is crazy.

Cmon you boys at EA, don't fix what's not broken.
