You nailed it when you called out “respect” for users. There’s a real lack of respect from EA right now with regard to F2Pers. To my mind, they’ve initiated a “purge” against us and are seeking to make the experience so miserable for F2Pers that we either start to spend or we leave.
And siveisanoob, you also nailed it when you labeled FCM a “casino.” That’s 100% what it is and this draft system was “the house” making the table “minimum” a lot higher (i.e., 300k gems just to guarantee yourself a random 116 card!) and the odds (of obtaining players that help improve your team) a lot lower (as in less than 2% for F2Pers who can’t scrape together several hundreds of vouchers). It’s a slap in the face (again, a lack of RESPECT) to any intelligent user because we can all see that the odds are stacked against us.
So, now we face the choice: Stay and suffer the humiliation and frustration of becoming increasingly uncompetitive relative to our P2P peers, or waste our money in a casino where we can’t even enjoy the cards we win because EA refuses to improve actual matchplay. OR, we leave en masse and let EA fly FCM into the ground without us on board.
We always have a choice to leave. It's totally on us if we still continue to play. It has reached a point where the game tells you "get outta here". The game has progressively gotten worse and honestly this event was the final nail in the coffin. It's better to invest your time on something which regards your time and effort. Don't ever be stuck on the "I'm about to leave/I'm almost leaving" phase cuz that never comes and you're just buying time for the game to torture you more.
