Can't stop losing games

I'm aware this might just sound like frustration at losing, and maybe it is that, but does anyone else feel almost gaslit by the game in Head to Head? I got promoted to my highest ever league after a lot of hard work (think it was Legendary I), before going on a 15-20 game losing streak (not exaggerating). I changed nothing from the way I was playing before, and if I thought things weren't working I changed players and formations, but continued to lose regardless. I've since had a few draws that have kept me in the division I was relegated to, but I haven't even come close to recovering. My players with good passing can't make simple passes, every shot Van Basten and Haaland take gets saved, I get fouls given against me for things my opponents do without consequence, the game freezes when I'm through on goal, and the one time I did grind out a win, the game disconnected me (and ONLY that time). It's no fun losing when there's nothing more I can do, and I feel like the game has already marked me down to lose before the match starts. Anyone got any thoughts or advice? Thinking I might do better to just delete the game, despite how fun it's been previously.

Yep, keep losing games, keep getting demoted is the norm with this game.

I just played 12 manager matches, won 0 match, got demoted once, am about to be demoted again ...

If you think about it, keep you losing is their business model.

  • Dear friend,

I know it’s not easy, but you have to try not to take it too hard. Unfortunately, you’re just another victim of EA’s sneaky, manipulative policies. Their hated and utterly disgusting scripting, which they justify as a "metric to make the game more engaging", is really just a cash grab. It pushes FUT players into buying packs to improve their teams, which, mysteriously, never seem to perform well enough to advance. All of this flies in the face of the majority of players, leaving them angry, frustrated, and tense, exactly the opposite of what a video game is supposed to do: entertain and relax. Sadly, when money is involved, ethics whether social or moral, are thrown right out the window.

Some call it "momentum," others "DDA," and others simply "scripting," but the label doesn’t matter. The reality is the same: the FC series, including the latest FIFA, isn’t about skill or meritocracy. We all keep playing because we’ve invested money and cling to the false hope that this disaster will be fixed with the "next update." Deep down, though, we know we’re lying to ourselves. The almighty dollar rules everything, and nothing will change at EA.

The only real hope is for a competitor to rise up and crush EA and its practices, but right now, that’s just a pipe dream. The only alternative, PES, has been dead for years, having fallen asleep at the wheel in classic Konami style. Arrogantly assuming it would always reign supreme in soccer gaming, it was brought down by its own inflated ego.

This is the fate that awaits EA, plagued by the same arrogance, but not now, not today. In the meantime, they’ll keep lining their pockets...

You pretty much nailed it here

"The game try’s to make you feel like team isn’t good enough so you buy more packs which is not true as most opponents are easy to beat when the game working right especially the ones with the big OVR as they all seem to play 4-2-4 leaving them with a midfield that’s outnumbered when you attack as they use all out attack with this formation opening them to a counterattack, so when the algorithm relies that your making progress again these teams using the rules of the game it starts to cheat you. So yes in a way it’s not scripting instead it’s more like match fixing on behalf of EA to try and get you spend, but then you find there is nothing in the packs you just bought only the same players you have so what’s the point in buying them. "

I’ve personally witnessed moments that are outright baffling: legendary players like Pirlo and Baggio making amateurish passes, random connection freezes, black screens, and a 109 OVR team losing to a 56 OVR team in Manager Mode. Meanwhile, serial cheaters with 98 OVR teams cause disconnections, and EA Support does absolutely nothing to address it.

Instead, they further frustrate you by asking irrelevant questions, dragging out the issue without providing resolutions. It feels like a calculated scam, where EA manipulates loyal players into spending more while delivering nothing in return

  • @14d6019106f793cfAfter first or 3rd loss stop playing and wait 24 hours the win ratio should reset. This EA scripting at work to get people to spend when really there is nothing wrong with your team.

  • I have the same exact issue and noting has been done to fix or rectify the concerns of the players.numerous time I went to customer service on settings mode and explained the fact ...and noting has been done.. all my players max out and yet still 95 94 93 passing the my max out 106 players..think this is right EA.. I really fed up...
