Forum Discussion
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I’ve read through everything raised here (and in similar threads) and I’m passing it on to the team. Your input genuinely matters—especially when you include clear details—so please keep sharing whenever you can. And if you can keep it constructive, it makes it much easier for us to act on it and share it with the right people.
With all due respect, we’ve been giving the same feedback about this event for a month and we’ve gotten “crickets” in response from the dev team. You say keeping it constructive “makes it much easier for us to act on it,” but where is this action of which you speak? I mean this in all seriousness. What steps has EA taken in response to ANY of the feedback that’s been shared? (Because it feels to most of us like there’s been none.)
As it stands, this forum acts like a one-way mirror. EA has transparency into what we are thinking and feeling by way of copious comments, but we get basically zero information in return except for these constant assurances that EA is “listening.” We play this game day in and day out and see no substantive changes (e.g., the community hates the draft system and the poor exchanges surrounding it and yet the Ginga, Lunar New Year, and Ramadan mini events are all using it). So, please explain why we’re supposed to feel reassured by what appear to most of us to be empty words (that EA is listening and acting on any of our comments).
Here’s a constructive suggestion for EA: Take 30 mins to compose a general reply to the community summarizing what EA has “heard” from us over the last month about TOTY and the draft system and detail any “actions” you’ve already taken and those you are in the process of taking. Tell us which issues you intend to address and which are non-negotiable. This is Communications 101 stuff. If you want to foster a healthy, respectful, and productive relationship with the FCM community then foster it with open, two-way communication.
At the end of the day this is mostly about respect and trust. EA keeps asking for it from the community, but isn’t showing enough in return. The “dev team” is a black box to most of us and the decisions they’ve made recently (as reflected in the game we play everyday) don’t make sense to us and have made the game a LOT less enjoyable. So, when we register our feedback and get nothing in return (no changes and no communication) then this feels insulting (verging on contempt). If this is not what EA intends then it needs to stop beseeching us to “keep it constructive” and, instead, provide either substantive changes to address our concerns, or, at a minimum, provide us with details about what it is “hearing” and what it plans to do about it.
In the end, actions speak louder than words, and whether EA “acts” on a reasonable request like the one above will speak louder than a thousand pat “thanks for your feedback” replies. Does EA value and respect this community enough to be more transparent and engage in two-way communication? It’s that simple, and the ball is EA’s court.
