EA, Fix the Goalkeepers in Your Broken Game
I am writing this post because I cannot stay silent about the current state of the game anymore. We need to talk about the biggest issue ruining the gameplay right now: the goalkeepers.
EA, you seriously need to fix the goalkeepers in your game.
Right now, playing defense feels completely unrewarding because even if you position your defenders perfectly, the goalkeeper will ruin everything. Here are the main issues that make the GKs feel absolutely terrible:
Abysmal AI and Positioning: Goalkeepers constantly mistime their runs or stand frozen on their line during simple cross-balls.
Ridiculous Glitches: We see lazy diving animations, ball-glitching through hands, and keepers completely ignoring the ball when it rolls right next to them.
No Consistency: A low-rated striker can easily score a weak shot from a tight angle, while a top-tier prime goalkeeper acts like a bronze player.Brain-dead Decision Making: They often punch the ball straight into the opponent's feet instead of catching it or clearing it safely to the side.
We spend time and money on this game, and the least we expect is a basic level of consistency. The current state of the GKs is unacceptable and makes the game feel completely broken and unplayable.
