I feel the same way — the grind is no longer worth it because F2Pers have no chance of remaining competitive under the new draft regime. I’ll be leaving the game and moving to eFootball if things don’t change in the next event because the new system has the effect of making F2Pers a permanent lower “caste.” EA has robbed us of any certainty of obtaining top players that can improve our squads. They’ve delivered a very clear “pay or else” message and I refuse to spend outrageous amounts of money in a casino with crap odds to win player cards when EA refuses to make the necessary improvements to game mechanics to enable me to actually have FUN using said players.
In short, EA has their priorities **bleep** backwards. The new draft system reeks of desperation as they chase revenues by clawing back value from F2Pers and putting meta cards behind poorer and poorer odds and an increasingly high paywall. Meanwhile, they have completely neglected every game improvement the community has been clamoring for. The feedback has been as loud as it’s been unequivocal and yet Ginga brought more of the same (with the crappy, low-odds draft system) and we’ve heard crickets from EA about what (if anything) they plan change.
So one can only assume they plan to plow forward with more of the same and run the franchise straight into the ground. Which is why I’m mentally preparing myself for a “break-up.” I’ve logged in everyday for more than a year, but I’ve already downloaded eFootball and started learning the ropes. It’s not too late for EA to keep me, but the clock is definitely ticking cuz I’m one foot out the door.
