Fc mobile related

Hi, I umfortunately couldnt find the forum for the mobile game but I still have a question related to it. In the uefa dreamchasers chapter where you can buy the players that have the possibility to upgrade, does it lock them when the upgrades are visible in game? And do they upgrade if bought prematurely? (e.g. today). Further more I wanted to ask if the section will be updated for the semifinals or if that is gonna trigger a new section all together.
