[Feature Request] Add Spectator Mode for Friend Matches & Tournaments

Dear EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Development Team,

I am writing on behalf of a large community of content creators and competitive players to urgently request the implementation of a native "Spectator Mode" for Friend Matches and Custom Tournaments.

The Current Problem: Currently, Spectator Mode is restricted only to League Matches. There is no way to spectate a custom Head-to-Head (H2H) match between two friends or tournament participants.

  • Community Impact: This makes it impossible to organize legitimate, transparent external tournaments for players.
  • Technical Failure: The current workaround (asking players to screen-mirror via third-party apps) causes severe lag, frame rate drops, and disconnections, ruining the competitive integrity of matches and causing players to quit tournaments.
  • Content Creation: Creators cannot broadcast high-quality matches to their audiences without putting the players at a competitive disadvantage.

The Request: Please add a "Spectator Invite" feature similar to what is found in console versions of FC/FIFA:

  1. Allow a third party to join a Friend Match lobby as an observer (no controls).
  2. Ensure this mode has zero impact on the players' performance or latency.
  3. Allow the spectator to switch camera angles between the two players.

Why This Matters: The FC Mobile esports scene is growing rapidly. By adding this feature, EA would:

  • Empower creators to run official-looking tournaments.
  • Increase player engagement and retention through community events.
  • Provide free marketing for the game via streams on YouTube and Twitch.

We have seen this feature work perfectly in League Matches; extending it to Friend Matches is the logical next step. Please prioritize this in the upcoming roadmap to save the mobile esports community from technical frustration.

Thank you for listening to the community.
