I played every day for 18 months. Never missed a day. Completed every challenge. Played many games. Got pretty good.
Thought some updates were good, some bad, some indifferent but always loved the game and felt I was improving.
After this update, however I have been unable to play and you have completely broken my obsession overnight. The gameplay is literally broken…
When you dribble, the ball bobbles in front of you and gets taken by players nowhere near enough to take it.
When you pass the ball sometimes ignores the joystick entirely, other times passes past the players you want, but invariably turns all normal passes into through passes.
To make matters worse, players seem to have forgotten how to accept the ball with it often running straight past them, in front of them, or them falling over it with their feet.
Let’s not forget defence, where my defenders are literally checked back – and yes I have it on video – to stop them catching attackers that I have clearly covered.
Goalies have gone mental. And just generally the whole game feels like you’re not in control of your players anymore.
The interfering AI was never a strong point of the game, but if that’s what’s causing all of this, it has made it unplayable for anybody who wants to actually play football.
To be fair, I always try to play proper football passing, dribbling, strategic attacks rather than just powering up a Ronaldo or an Mbappé and crashing through everybody or lobbing over everybody or going for some kind of cross spam so I’ve no idea whether those kind of players have been impacted, probably not.
Anyway, not sure if anybody cares or if anybody’s listening but I feel 18 months of play merits the feedback.
We also play the non-mobile game in this house and I’ve long wondered why you haven’t followed the gameplay of that which has far less stupid interference and the players do much more what you intend them to do.
Let’s face it, if you pay good money or play long hours and competitions to snag a player, you expect them to do what you’ve trained to do. When I’ve spent 18 months learning how to play, I don’t need the AI taking over all of my football.
Hoping for the best, but expecting to have to find an alternative game for mobile
