Ok. Feedback.
Just to set the scene here., coming into TOTY my team is 120. All my players are 120 barring a 118 Mbappe on the left wing. He’s so effective it seemed pointless replacing him until we got 117’s..
I probably spend £20 a month on some of the better value offers.
so coming into this event I’m planning to find a new 117 LW and generally look to progress my 120’s to 122’s when I get an opportunity. Under the shard system this would have been a given, and I would have had a lot of fun doing it.
fast forward to the event and we have the draft system which requires far more resources to gain a player and no certainty of position.
I decided to spend my in game resources on trying to get a 116/117 player through pool A. I ran through 100 pulls and gained a 116 Pedri who is no use to me whatever.
my new plan? TOTY is pointless to me, and it a couple of months under the draft system 117’s will be chucked away as minor resources and I can progress my team then. If I can follow thorough with that it strikes me that each upgrade thereafter will follow a similar pattern and I won’t get the best players first, but I won’t be paying EA any money.
Oh, and I certainly won’t be putting any money into this event because even if I run through another 100 pulls I can’t guarantee I’ll get the 117. Equally, to get a 117 from exchange I would need to pull about another 350 times and there is no way I’m going to generate that number of tickets without spending a lot more than £20 a month.
Oh, and EA. You guarantee a pool A player after 100 pulls. You say the % chance of getting a pool A player is 2% per pack. If it isn’t is it? I believe there is a cheat going on here. If you have a 2% chance of bagging a pool a per pack then when you pull multiple times the chance of you getting the pool a goes up over time. Statistically, the tipping point is 50%, so each pull after 50 pulls you should be more likely to get a pool a than not. By the time you’ve pulled 80 or 90 times the % of you having received the pool a in one of those 80/90 pulls is 80/90%.
I got my pool a player on the 100th and last pull. Statistically that puts me in the last percentage. I wonder how many others got that?
As for the 108-112 players. What are we supposed to do with them? We can swap 10 for a 113-115 player (5 points!!) or one new ticket. So 90% of your pulls are worth 10% to infinity. Useless (nearly).
5 points for 113-115 players, and 900 tokens for a 117. If we get one 113-115 per 27,000 gems and we need 180 players to get the 117 that means we need (I can’t even do the math!) ?486,000 gems or 32,400 FC points for one 117 player. That’s a lot of money.
Summary, TOTY is a big waste of time and for someone like me will cause less money paid rather than more. Please bring back the shards!
