Game is awful

wth am i playing here? Im playing h2h and i struggle to score anyway i go 1-0 up and my player off kick off decides to just pass the ball straight to him and put him through to make it 1-1 game ends that way and he couldn’t attack. This game is probably one of the worst games I’ve ever played why do the passes not work properly?
