If EA continues with the draft system, I don't see a reason to continue playing

Spot on analysis. Unfortunately EA have become really greedy and only want P2P players, so are developing more and more of the game just for them. Shards was a much better and fairer system where you could choose the players you wanted to fit into YOUR Ultimate team.
