We’ve talked about this before. Why does EA not listen?
I’m at +9 FC Champions in H2H mode. I’ve got a chance to promote and win a bonus and I get matched against an opponent +20 ranks above me (and, predictably, I lose). This isn’t fun and it isn’t fair. (And I’m left to wonder if it’s not even a coincidence!).
Why must the algorithm give us matchups like this? It happens a lot more often than I post about it, but it’s the persistence that drives me to post about it…again. I’m totally fine waiting longer for a fair matchup. PLEASE keep the game fair and fun and eliminate these lopsided matches!

But on a serious note, the matchmaking has been odd in the past few days, and yes, it was raised already. Also, re stuttering/latency. I used both of your examples with the weird lobby 20ms latency turning into VSA's 100ms+. I will ping both of you on Discord when more dets are needed, just remember to record the timestamps of the lagged games.
