Legend points: spend 'em all or will they be exchangable?

Having claimed all of the bigger rewards for some time now, I am wondering what to do with my remaining Legend points from HOL. Should I spend them all on mostly gem and coin packs in the event, or should I save some, in case they can be exchanged for point for the upcoming event?

Does anyone have info and/or advice in this matter?
