Market Prices...

Ok how are prices set in the market? Used to be able to set any price you wanted, so could go low and get rid of a guy. I get why that creates issues.

but now Trying to sell a player and the prices keep fluctuating. I list at lowest price and there are 100 other listings, so not a good chance of selling.

then prices fluctuate wildly. When they go up, my player is now listed at a price lower than the lowest possible listing price. Why is he not selling?

if we can’t set our own prices, how are the prices fluctuating so drastically?

    @tokyolegoguy Prices change based on demand and supply. You can find when the price refresh is for each player on renderz. Then you need to be quick to re-sell or resubmit the offer in order to be the first in line to get a better chance of success.

    If your price is outside the window, other players can not buy/sell for it because EA dictates the price range.
  • Thank you! Do they sell in the order that they were posted? Just did one right at reset so i must be one of the first to post.

  • If the price is at the minimum just wait for some reason that the market demand for the player will spike such as the player exchanges.  A player can go from unsellable to valuable with just a player exchange requirement.  As someone who mainly plays because of the market, I like the current system and the overall insurance it provides. That’s not to say that I don’t agree with you (I have 200+ 83 OVRs that are sitting unsellable) but to offer you some hope that your player will retain value and will not be valueless like in past seasons.   You can sort out minimums.  80= something like 95k not sure I’ve seen an 80 at its least valuation. But other minimum values are

    81=110k

    82=134k

    83=170k

    84=226k

    85=350k(ish)

    86=687k

    87=873k

    88=1.14 mil

    take hope, be open minded as the market protects your value when it’s not making players unsellable which is happening…

    @smsredbulls Also we can just hope EA won't drop minimum prices again like they already did couple of times this season.
  • Appreciate all the input. So I’ve noticed my Llorente card with 3 ranks has plummeted from over 90m to 50m in less than a week. Isn’t this what this system is supposed to avoid? The market is not flush with this card. Actually atm there is none for sale. Any thoughts?

    @tokyolegoguy The market had imposed limits that were based on the single card price - these have been adjusted to reflect that the market/demand for ranked cards is not necessarily related to the market for the single

    My point on market minimums, as in can not, go any lower...  High value players will always lose value over time because eventually there’s more supply of other cards in that position.  I think EA has done a nice job managing supply and demand to have a nice level of realism.  For me I sell all those players, and if I really want them, I wait till the market has normalized for that card.

  •   The market should go back to being as free as it always was. We don't need any  great power intervening in the prices. Prices should fluctuate freely, and anyone should be able to set the selling price that they want. For me, this is a negative aspect of this year's release.
