MLS Summer tokens, what is the point?

MLS Summer tokens are still being rewarded for completing division rival matches, yet the only place where I can see to spend them was on the MLS Summer Rush event under the "Featured" tab. There is no where to spend these, so what is the point of still earning them via division rivals? It doesn't exactly make division rivals lucrative does it. At least let us exchange them or once a player has completed the MLS event then let us exchange them.
