Muller Record Holders Match difficulty

The game shows the fourth game in Record Holders to be two stars (Amateur). However, when you play the game, you can immediately realise it is on professional difficulty (four stars) which makes it near impossible to achieve the objective (win the match and score 11 goals in one match).

  • It was fed back as well as the fact that two other games start with a 0-1 score when the timer is at 0:00, so unrealistic. I don't think it will be fixed in time unless the requirement changes (or already has changed, I can't see what it is now because I have completed the challenge, I have beaten it on a first go in 90 mins,).

The key is to get Muller's 4 goals out of the way,  and be aggressive using the attacking mentality. If you can't see Muller in a clear position but can score the goal, score it with whoever it is, then try getting Muller into shooting position as much as possible. As soon as you get 4 goals with Muller, sub him off for your best striker. The best formations are with a lone striker. I used the 4231Narrow (it has 3CAMS)

This can be difficult for some, so if you want to get extra in-game time, when you score a couple of goals, then equalise with own goals to keep it level by the 90th minute. This gives you an extra 30 minutes in the game to finish the task. If it's still not enough time, go into pens, but thats a risky option. In the past, it only counted the goals you scored for your team, including pens, not the own goals, so you would need to score 11.

Yes its a lame way, but it's effective when the requirements are over the top.

Good luck (resolving this thread for visibility)

I’ve now attempted this challenge between 10 and 20 times. I’ve honestly lost track of the number of times I’ve had to forfeit after 10 mins because I’ve yet to score my first goal. I’ve made it once to 10-1 and once to 9-1 and went into half-time on another occasion at 5-1 only for Kobel to go out of his mind in the 2nd half and start saving everything. But most of the time I don’t even come close. I’ve tried dzrtr’s strategy of taking own goals, but it simply eats too much time and I can’t score enough goals (even after the added 30 mins) to make it work.

I have a 123 OVR squad with my 110 Muller in the lineup. I’m a decent player who achieves +10 to +20 FC Champions regularly across all of the Division Rivals modes. If I can’t beat this challenge then think about the thousands upon thousands of users out there who don’t stand a chance. And to think this match is marked as two stars! It’s cruel joke and I’m out of patience. I have a really bitter taste in my mouth when it comes to FCM right now. Ever since the last update everything about the game has been worse. Thinking I’d just be happier if I quit altogether.

  • Why can’t EA make a decent challenge? I agree with everything in the original post. It’s a ludicrous scenario. The difficulty level is stupid hard, and, in the end, it’s just not that fun — especially when my inputs feel delayed and player movements sluggish. C’mon, EA, be better than this.
