Pathetic Pathetic Pathetic Ballond'or event!!

I mean, you knew the odds of the pack-only lottery but still chosen to spend your gems anyway. My account has been around for a long time, and I ain't an influencer, but I still got decent pulls.

You either got ridiculously lucky or you spent more gems than you let on. I quit using gems after a week of pulling nothing but garbage. Totally agree with the original post — it’s a lame event. Unless you’re P2P or you’ve been saving up a mountain of gems and can bend the odds in your favor by opening enough packs, it’s a waste of time and resources cuz mostly you’re just going to get crap and you’ve got no “option B” (e.g., gathering shards) to try and win a meta player.

Ballon d'Or has actually been decent for me in terms of pulls. I got Zidane, Best, Rijkaard, and today, Yamal. I only did the 10k packs, so that’s around 70k gems spent. A few people in my league also pulled other 111 plus Icons, so RNG felt a bit more generous when compared to Anniversary that has been utterly rubbish, but its still probabilities, sometimes you get lucky, most of the time you don't (and until Ballon d'Or, my pack luck has been pretty much mostly lowest cards so expecting nothing for months now, haha)

Eh I spent the same amount that I spent on anniversary so far which is around 100k gems (got some luck on both I guess). If all I got were 106 rated from let's say 60 packs, I still get around 2B coins (106 will sell eventually), it's a second option...but that's not my point.

The point is if you see a pack-only event and already know that there's no "option B", but decide to spend anyway, you have to accept whatever outcome comes out of it. You could've easily skipped and spent on something else that has that "option B".

Mate you got lucky doesn't change the fact that it's a garbage event and 90+% of the users are frustrated with this s#it. Yes, I knew the odds when I opened the packs & the low odds is exactly the problem. EA could easily make this something like if you spend x amount of gems you get one assured 110 or something like that. I've spent more than 100k gems on this Ballond'or event as of today, my best pull is 109 Lewandowski and a bunch of 108 Rice and Felix. 

If it's a problem, skip the packs and wait for something better to come 😂 it's not like you had no options

Well said @ballknowledge77 , while the probabilties are against the players, these are explained. 

parsenal1​, relax, if you dont like the odds then dont play the gems pack-luck portion of the game or hoard yor gems until its guaranteed. BDor calculations show you need 220k gems to guarantee the card, anything less is luck.

The choices EA made with the business model are another matter for a lengthy discussion but yea, pack luck is the way games been for a while.
