The cadence rolls will be open the entirety of the event and you will easily finish it without the need to use those extra star pass exchange tokens ... yes those that exchanged early will get more rolls, but if its anything like i have been going, they will end up with a few hundred thousand extra coin, a couple of hundred gem and a bucket load of useless bronze players.
Those who missed that exchange (like I did) dodged a bullet - it would have been a complete waste of star pass tokens!
