Questiions about stats and other funny behavior

1) what stats control how fast players get up after being knocked dowm or after a slide? A lot of the time my cards take too long to get up

2) quite frequently i see that if i switch away from a def who is chasing an rw or st, he just stops running and goes onto weekend jog mode. Theae are defs who have high def workrate

3) why hasnt ea figured why the stats of opponent players suddenly increase if a player disconnects?

4) today an h2h opponent rage quit after i equalized. His players would capture the ball and just stand guariding the ball. The game wont let me charge at the player. I have to go stand behind and do a tackle only to see the player quickly reclaim the ball. Somehow i mamaged to get in a winning goal after 5 such funny ways of reclaiming posession.

    @jobjjobj Number 4 - the player hasn't turned on auto pass and shoot and the AI just stands after he quits. Next time try bringing in another player to press and take the ball

    What controls these?

    1) how fast players get up after being knocked dowm or after a slide? A lot of the time my cards take too long to get up

    2) how fast a player goes and helps the goalie anf stand in the net, during a set piece? Sprint button is not active when i do it manually. My opponents are most of the time lighning quick in going and standing in the net

    3) player switching speed. Many times imediately after i have played a pass, opponent near my receiver has already started putting prressure or running towards

    4) actual response or reaction time. gk with 150+ reflex dives so late.

    5) time gap between 2 tackle attempts

    @jobjjobj 1) it is dependent on the force of the tackle, there is no difference from player to player as far as I am aware - I can’t ask though

    2) your opponents in h2h have the exact same controls as you - I can only suggest that it might be a case of you having more network lag than them.

    All of the rest of your questions really do sound lag related - relative distance from the server is the worst!

    I’ll ask the gameplay team fot some answers though
  • jobjjobj Hi mate - sorry it has taken me a while -  but i got the response from the gameplay team and then AHQ got shut down for migration.

    1. This is something the gameplay team has noticed and they have on the list to investigate - it should be consistent across all players, but in some instances it does take longer than expected for a player to get up.
    2. Per my answer above - there is no difference between user controls on this, although connectivity/device lag could be a factor.  The team is looking into the whole free-kick process though, as the ability for an outfield player to block on the goal line during a free kick does not reflect real life play
    3. Yep - gameplay team is working on this as the recent increases in player OVR have meant that defenders are now a little bit overpowered, and can cut off passes that they probably shouldn't ... an update to make it a bit more realistic is being worked on.
    4. Per above - gameplay team is working on it and will hopefully have an update soon that will make goal-keeper performance more  realistic and balanced with shot speed, placement etc.
    5. You might need to provide a bit more context on the gap between tackle attempts - it is always messy with the interactions between the players and the gameplay engine keeping up with the interactions and commands, but a bit more information on what sort of scenario you are describing would help in proving an informed response.

    #5 is about sometimes how oppoents rb lb or even cb seem to have an ultra work rate that they are super fast in making so many tackles one after the other as i try to dribble past. I can never seem to humanly do that myself.

    #3 is not about only defs it feels as if defense and reactions stats are 200 for all 11 players

  • Yep - defenders are overpowered and have much higher work-rate, interception, the whole - the gameplay team is working on recalibrating that.
