@mendozzamagic cheating appears to be (at least in NA) confined mainly to the upper echelons of rivals (Leg1 and up). In seasons past I would be up there by now, but this season has no incentives so it’s daily minimum and out. Down here in WC there is no cheating that I can see, it’s quite competitive, and no need to build a high end team or spend any money.
So outside of the top 10,000 in any rivals mode, playing rivals for event tokens could work quite well. Add to it some rivals objectives for tokens (like play games, win games, score with player x) and you have yourself a game. Re-introduce sets where you can build a high end player to balance out the pack gambling (like in other EA games).

In my mind this is all solvable with proper event design. At this rate though, we’re gonna play 3 skill games and a match for toty tokens to gamble for random low/mid players and the odd nominee. The only entertainment is going to be watching Antwan and Tak trying to put lipstick on the pig during the lifestream. Enjoy.😉

@tomjam099 I’m down in the lower echelons and i regularly hit cheaters - they need to work their way up too 🫣

I don’t mind event linked rivals objectives that require playing - it’s the winning that gets problematic because you could get really unlucky and hit a heap of cheaters.

There was an event last season where they did it really well, where you did have to win a few, but it was relatively easy (like 40% of matches) and play the rest (like 20 or so) to reach the top tier of rewards. Matchmaking was on OVR as well, so I could play with themed line up (like Australia World Cup side) and have some fun at a lower OVR where there were indeed less cheaters (although this season much worse for cheats)
