Should I stop playing event?

Its your call, sometimes its better to park it, sometimes you are better off to keep playing.

I will keep playing FC but stop playing event till something new is introduced 

One of the better aspects of the current format is that missing a day—or even a week—won’t set you back like it used to in older versions of FM. But it’s not without drawbacks. The grinders who play daily don’t get much meaningful advantage, while “Johny comes late” can show up, hit some insane pack luck, and suddenly end up with a stronger lineup than players who’ve been putting in the time consistently. Double edge sword.
